Saxby- The last Jedi Knight

One of the most famous movies lines that I recall was in Star Wars when Luke Skywalker is missing and all hope seemed lost and Yoda says, "But wait, there is another..." Soon after we learn that the new hope is Luke's sister, Princess Leia.

Well my friends, our last hope (in the Senate) is Republican Saxby Chambliss and his run-off election on December 2. So if you know anyone (and I really mean everyone) in Georgia, call them and tell them to vote for Saxby Chambliss. Without Saxby, the Democrats could create a fillibuster-proof Senate, meaning what the Stormtoopers want, the Stormtroopers get.

Chambliss finished first in the general election with 49.8 percent to Martin's 46.8, a mere .2 percent shy of success.

Darth V. and John S.Weeney are doing everything in their power on the Dark Side to prevent Saxby from winning, including a massive campaign targeting the 325,000 union workers in Georgia. The AFL-CIO is counting on a low voter turn-out to aid Jim Martin in taking the last open Senate seat for the Democrats.

Throw in a visit from Obama and President Clinton, and construction on the Death Star is nearly complete. Enter Obi-wan McCain and Hans Huckabee with light sabers at the ready, but in the typical fashion of all heroes in these situations, they are woefully outnumbered and out-spent politically...

--Make 600,000 phone calls

--Send 610,000 union mail to homes

--Send 81,000 targeted anti-Chambliss mailings to homes (see link for actual mailer)

The Death Star reference by the way is the EFCA. When the unions and Obama make the Employee Free Choice Act "the law of the land" in 2009, there will be no way to stop it if the Senate has 60 votes. No filibuster. No hope for the employees, businesses, wookies or ewoks.
